This Privacy Policy governs the collection, processing, and custodianship of personal information furnished by users of the WhereFy mobile application and associated services (collectively, the "Platform"). By accessing or using the Platform, you affirm your understanding of, and consent to, the practices described herein. We encourage you to read this document in its entirety.

Article I

Scope of Information Acquired

In order to verify user identity and establish a secure, authenticated session, the Platform requests certain telecommunications identifiers. This process is necessary to ensure each account corresponds to a unique, verifiable individual and to safeguard your experience against unauthorised access.

Beyond authentication, we invite users to enrich their profiles with contextual particulars — including, but not limited to, temporal biographical details, geographical preferences, and primary electronic correspondence addresses. Such information is solicited voluntarily and serves exclusively to personalise your experience, calibrate in-application content, and deepen our understanding of our user community's composition.

We do not compel disclosure of any information beyond what is strictly necessary for account creation. Supplementary particulars are offered entirely at your discretion.

Article II

Purpose & Utilisation of Data

The information we collect fulfils several deliberate purposes. Principally, it enables us to authenticate your identity at every interaction, deliver a seamless and coherent user experience, and tailor the Platform's content to align with the regional and demographic characteristics you have indicated.

Aggregated and de-identified insights derived from user data are further employed in analytical exercises designed to refine our services, understand usage patterns, and improve product decisions. Under no circumstances is your personal information sold, leased, or otherwise transferred to third parties for their independent commercial exploitation.

Article III

Legal Basis for Processing

Our processing activities rest upon established legal grounds recognised under applicable data protection legislation. Where you have furnished information voluntarily, processing is predicated upon your explicit consent. Verification-related processing is conducted pursuant to contractual necessity — that is, to deliver the service you have requested. Analytical and improvement-oriented activities are conducted under our legitimate interests, which we balance carefully against your right to privacy.

Article IV

Retention & Security Safeguards

Personal information is retained only for as long as is reasonably necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined herein, or as mandated by applicable law. Upon the lapse of a legitimate retention basis, data is either permanently expunged or irreversibly anonymised.

We implement technical and organisational measures commensurate with the sensitivity of the information processed. These include transport-layer encryption, access controls governed by the principle of least privilege, and internal policies prohibiting unauthorised disclosure. While no system can guarantee absolute security, we exercise continuous vigilance to protect the integrity and confidentiality of your data.

Article V

Disclosure to Third Parties

We engage select third-party service providers — including cloud infrastructure operators, analytics platforms, and communication facilitators — who process personal data strictly on our behalf and in accordance with our instructions. Each such partner is bound by contractual obligations that prohibit any use of your data beyond what we have sanctioned.

Disclosure may further occur where required by competent legal authority, in connection with a corporate restructuring or acquisition, or where necessary to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public.

Article VI

Your Rights & Prerogatives

Subject to applicable jurisdiction, you are entitled to request access to the personal information we hold about you, seek rectification of inaccuracies, request erasure where no overriding retention basis exists, restrict or object to certain processing activities, and, where technically feasible, receive your data in a portable format.

To exercise any of the above rights, or to withdraw consent previously given, please direct your inquiry to our Data Protection contact identified below. We will respond within the timeframes prescribed by governing law.

Article VII

Amendments to this Policy

We reserve the right to revise this Privacy Policy from time to time in response to evolving legal requirements, technological developments, or changes to our service offering. Material amendments will be communicated to you through conspicuous notice within the Platform or via your registered contact detail. Continued use of the Platform following notification constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

For questions, concerns, or formal requests relating to your personal data, please contact us at info@wherefy.com. This policy is governed by the laws of the applicable jurisdiction and is intended to be read in conjunction with our Terms of Service.
